WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Co-workers and family members of a slain Dayton woman came together Tuesday night to find comfort and to pray for the victim’s missing 4-year-old son.
“Today, for me the silver lining is knowing that both Nichelle and Zaden have touched the lives of so many people in so many ways.”
Nichelle McKnight and her young son, Zaden, were last seen alive March 26.
Police found Nichelle’s body along the Stillwater River Friday. The coroner ruled that she was shot to death.
Police believe Antwan Anderson killed her and the boy. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound only days before McKnight was found.
Zaden has yet to be found.
Tuesday night’s vigil was held at Ele Cake Company in West Carrollton where Nichelle McKnight worked.
