Crews searching Lake Erie for missing anglers

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says it’s searching western Lake Erie for three or four people after finding a partially submerged boat off the Ohio shoreline.

The U.S. Coast Guard says the boat was located Thursday morning near the Davis-Besse nuclear power plant. That’s about 30 miles west of Toledo.

Coast Guard boats and helicopters are now centering the search in that area.

Crews began looking for missing boaters near Ohio’s South Bass Island overnight after receiving a report about overdue fishermen.
