VANDALIA, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS has learned that funeral services and burial costs for Nichelle McKnight will be paid by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ohio Charities.

The funding was secured in Columbus Thursday. She will be buried at Dayton Memorial Park on North Dixie Drive in Vandalia.

McKnight was found dead along the banks of the Stillwater River April 11. She and her 4-year-old son Zaden, turned up missing March 25.

2 NEWS obtained police documents Thursday that say McKnight and her son were killed in the basement of a house on Birchwood Avenue.

That is where Tonisha Harris lives. She is accused of stealing McKnight’s debit cards.

McKnight joined the U.S. Air Force in 2008. She was still an active member at the time of her death.

Her funeral is Friday at the Greater Love Christian Church at 2345 Lakeview Avenue.
