Man arrested for public indecency near daycare

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A Dayton man was taken into custody after officials said he was drunk and exposing himself near a daycare.

Donald Hayes, 56, was arrested on charges of public indecency.

Police were called to Youthland Academy in the 2300 block of Catalpa Drive just before 4:30 p.m. Friday on a sex offense complaint.

According to police, Hayes was highly intoxicated and was exposing himself outside of the daycare and then walked across the street to a barber shop.

There were several people in the area at the time of the incident, as well as children at the daycare facility.

Hayes was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
