DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A grand jury will hear evidence about a shooting at the Love’s Travel Stop.

Prosecutors met with police detectives Monday and decided to take their evidence to a grand jury to decide about charges.

Goran Sojic, 48, was shot to death by a security guard at the gas station on Edwin C. Moses Boulevard back on December 8, 2013.

Sojic’s family has since filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the security guard, Joshua Carp.

Carp says he was acting in self-defense.
