More than 30 cats removed from filthy house

WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Animal Resource Center removed more than 30 cats from a West Carrollton house Monday night.

They arrived at the home in the 5000 block of Lindbergh Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. after the code enforcement officer requested them.

Code enforcement officers received a complaint Monday about trash in the yard.

They arrived to find the house in unsanitary conditions and the cats roaming the house.

The house was condemned. The owners must find another place to stay until they clean it up.

The cats were taken to the animal shelter for evaluation.

West Carrollton only allows residents to own three animals. It considers anything more as a kennel, which is prohibited.

The city says the home owners are cooperating, so no citations were issued Monday night.
