Sex offender turns himself in to deputies

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – A wanted sex offender turned himself in to deputies Thursday.

Benjamin Maurer, 43, was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender. He is required to by law to register his address.

Deputies say Maurer told them he was evicted from his registered location and moved to Hillsboro, Ohio in December 2013.

Maurer is now in the Clark County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
