One arrested for OVI during checkpoint

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Trotwood police arrest one person for OVI following a sobriety checkpoint.

The checkpoint was started at 7 p.m. along the 1000 block of Shiloh-Springs Road on Friday.

A total of 485 cars passed through the checkpoint. One person was arrested for OVI. Police issued five restraint citations. Six people were arrested for misdemeanors. Twelve people were issued citations for driving under suspension.

The Montgomery County OVI Task Force says it plans to hold several checkpoints during April and May.
