Area clergy to meet congress on immigration reform

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) -Springfield Evangelical leaders are calling for a vote on Immigration Reform.

A local group plans to take their concerns right to the top. Tuesday they will travel to the nation’s capitol to make their case.

Monday they met for a press conference to highlight the biblical call to urge Congress to move forward with a vote on immigration reform.

The Pastors discussed the moral imperatives for immigration reform, their efforts during the April congressional recess and their trip.

Tuesday they will meet with their members of Congress. Specifically the pastors discussed the toll that deportations and detainment are taking local Hispanic congregations.
