MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) – The state fire marshal confirms that a fatal fire in Middletown was intentionally set.

The fire on El Camino Drive last week was ruled an arson.

Sheri Sloane, 50, was killed. Her body was found inside the rubble after the flames kept firefighters from entering the home.

The case is now being handled as a possible homicide investigation.
