DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The 500 block of Brooklyn Avenue is now open to traffic.

The block was closed off following last week’s home explosion that caused damage to at least 49 homes and structures in the surrounding neighborhood.

Insurance agents and their investigators were on the scene Thursday, along with Dayton Fire Department officials.

Investigators still have not determined the cause of the natural gas explosion; officials do suspect foul play with metal theft may be to blame.
