HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – A pit bull seized by the Montgomery County Animals Resource Center last month was euthanized.

The dog attacked a utility worker who entered its yard last month.

2 NEWS learned that after a meeting between the pit bull’s owner and resource officers, the decision was made to euthanize the dog.

Investigators say the family let the dog into the backyard of their Sebring Drive home unaware that the utility worker was there.

The family voluntarily gave up the dog after the attack.

The worker is recovering.
