Man arrested on child endangering

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man is behind bars after an altercation with his family leaves a baby bruised.

Marcus Core, 28, was arrested on charges of child endangering and domestic violence.

Police were initially dispatched to 21 Knecht Street before 8:30 p.m. Saturday on a domestic violence complaint.

According to the police report, Core got into an argument with one of his family members and punched him in the face. The altercation caused the victim to lose his footing, falling down the stairs with Core’s one-year-old daughter in his arms.

Officers said the baby had bruising under her left eye.

When officers questioned Core, they said his story kept changing.

The baby’s mother took her to Dayton Children’s Hospital to be checked out. The baby is okay.

Core was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
