Fire destroys country club barn

SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – A barn at the Sugar Valley Golf Club was destroyed by fire Monday morning.

sugar-valley-golf-club-fireHeavy smoke and flames were showing when firefighters arrived on the scene at 1250 Mead Road in Sugarcreek Township around 6:00.

Crews from surrounding fire departments were called for mutual aid assistance.

The barn, used to store golf carts, fertilizer, and propane tanks, burned to the ground.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

No injuries were reported.
