3 teens killed tested positive for alcohol

SPRINGFIELD TWP, Clark Co., Ohio (WDTN) – All three teens killed in a crash in Clark County tested positive for alcohol.

The Montgomery County Coroner toxicological results show Daniel Tittle, 17, had a .218  blood alcohol level, Charles Luthe, 16, had a .108  blood alcohol, and Wesley Culpepper, 15, had a .124 urine alcohol.

The three Clark County high school students died when the car they were riding in hit a tree on Ridge Road just before 6 a.m. March 26.

The 2010 Hyundai Sonata  was torn in half upon impact with the tree. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

None were wearing seat belts, although with the severity of the crash, investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said seat belt usage would not have helped.

The driver of the vehicle is still unknown at this time and the crash remains under investigation.
