Duplex heavily damaged by fire


SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) – Fire caused extensive damage to a two story duplex in Sidney Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out just before 2:00 331-333 N. West Avenue.

When firefighters arrived there was heavy smoke and fire showing from the first floor of 331 near the rear of the residence.

Sidney Police were already in the process of evacuating the residents from both units.

Everyone escaped unharmed and injuries were reported.

The Sidney/Shelby County Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause.
