Kettering police chase down fleeing van

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Kettering police were involved in a chase Wednesday night.

Officers ended the pursuit in the 2300 block of Smithville Road.

Police say the van was stolen at Shroyer Road and Dorothy Lane.

An officer noticed it driving erracticly up curbs and in the grass, so he followed the van.  Then, the pursuit began.

A witness told 2 NEWS she was driving on Wilmington Avenue when a van pulled out in front of her squealing its tires with several police cars in pursuit.

Police gave the van a bump to get it stopped.

Two men, both 24 years old, are under arrest.
