Big fire burns in Darke County

DARKE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – More than a dozen fire departments repsonded to a fire in Darke County.

The sheriff’s office dispatcher said they received a call around 3:18 a.m. from an resident in a house located at 11238 SR 49. They said an alarm went off and smoke was in the house.

When fire crews arrived, the house was in flames.

Mutual aid assistance was called and at least 18 trucks and engines are at the scene.

At this time it appears no was was hurt.
