MIAMI CO., Ohio (WDTN) – The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a video surfaced online of two girls fighting violently.
The video shows one girl getting hit in the head with a shovel.
Miami County deputies believe the video is authentic and is not a staged event.
They are working now to determine wither charges will be filed against the 14-year-old girl who threw the shovel that hit the other girl.
The video has now gone viral. It was shot by Josh Officer who sold the video to Break.com. The eight minute video is disturbing to watch, so beware. It shows the girls fighting and you hear one of the girls telling the other to get off her property and threatening to get a BB gun.
That is when the shovel was thrown.
2 NEWS spoke to the girl who threw the shovel. She says she is a victim of bullying and says she was defending herself when he threw it.
“I’ve been bullied since third or fourth grade because of acne problems. I’ve had enough of it. I finally stood up for myself,” the girl said.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office says both girls are okay with no serious injuries.
They will present their investigation to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office some time next week.
