XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Drug agents hit the streets Thursday in Montgomery and Greene counties to round up drug trafficking suspects.
They were looking for 23 people accused of selling drugs in Greene County.
Officers served warrants and arrested seven people.
They are still looking for the others.
ACE Task Force Director Bruce May says everyone that was arrested was turned in or identified by citizens.
“This is a good thing because by these arrests, it usually slows them down, moves them or arrests them and it cleans the neighborhoods up because it’s the element that comes in and buys these drugs that causes the crime within the neighborhoods,” said Bruce May, ACE Task Force.
Most of the people charged are accused of selling heroin.
May calls heroin the worst drug out there saying overdoses and deaths are up.
