FRANKLIN, Ohio (WDTN) – One of three men accused of beating a Dayton man to death admitted his guilt Thursday.

Michael Geldrich, 36, of Franklin, pleaded guilty in Warren County Court to aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and tampering.

He admitted to fatally beating Dione Payne, 16 in an attempt to steal drugs and money from him. Payne was dumped outside the Middletown Regional Hospital December 1, 2013. He died at the hospital.

Geldrich was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison. He will testify against two other defendants in the case.

He will be sentenced after the other two trials are complete.
