DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man was pepper sprayed and taken into custody after a fight broke out after the Urban Nights celebration downtown.

Leonard Cole, 45, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest.

Police were called to the area of 90 South Main Street at 11 p.m. on a disturbance following the Urban Nights event.

According to the police report, there were hundreds of people fighting and causing a disturbance near the RTA hub.

Police said Cole was standing behind officers as they were trying to break up the crowd. Cole was ordered to move several times but refused. Officers said when they placed him in handcuffs, he resisted causing police to pepper spray him.
