Woman suffers brain bleed after robbery

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman suffered a brain bleed after being assaulted and robbed.

The incident happened in the area of North Main Street and West Hudson Avenue around 1 a.m. Sunday.

The victim told police a group of three women and two men approached her and asked to use her phone. She said when she told them “no”, they began to follow and harass her.

She stated one of the women then grabbed her and slammed her head against the pavement several times.

One of the women then took her phone.

The group ran from the scene.

The victim was taken to Grandview Hospital. Doctors found the victim had a brain bleed and advised her injury is life-threatening.
