New police chief takes helm in Huber Heights

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) The City of Huber Heights has a new police chief.

The city council formally recognized Lieutenant Mark Lightner as the new chief at Monday night’s council meeting.

Chief Lightner is a 23 year veteran of the Huber Heights police force.

He says one of his first goals is to drum up support for the city’s proposed tax increase on the November 4 ballot.
