Police find crashed car, but no driver

FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) – A car found crashed, but with no driver to be found had been stolen, police told 2 NEWS.

They were called to the intersection of SR 235 and Trebein Road in Fairborn around 3:30 Monday morning when they were alerted to the crash by an Onstar notification.

When they arrived, they found an SUV that had flipped at least once, but the driver was missing. At first they thought the driver might have been ejected from the vehicle, but then concluded they had left the scene.

The owner of the SUV said he did not know it was gone until he was contacted by the police.

The search for the missing driver continues.
