Centerville mom charged in Amber Alert

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – The Centerville mother whose actions police said triggered an Amber Alert is facing charges.

Melissa Myers, 35, is charged with aggravated menacing, indcuing panic, and domestic vilolence threats.

Centerville Police Lt. Matt Brown told 2 NEWS Myers was served with the charges Monday, posted bond and was released.

Myers is accused of disappearing with her 2-year-old son, Nolan G. Myers, the evening of May 7.

They were located the next morning at a Best Western motel at SR 63 and I-75 in Monroe, Ohio.

The child was unharmed and released to his grandparents.

Myers was taken into custody at that time.
