DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – 2 NEWS has learned RTA  bus driver Rick Wagoner has been placed on paid administrative leave and is still an RTA employee.

Until recently he was on worker’s compensation.

Wagoner claims he was shot and stabbed by three black male teenagers in February when his bus broke down at the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Lakeview Avenue in Dayton.

He also claimed the bullets were stopped by a religious book that he had in his shirt pocket.

Being placed on administrative leave means Wagoner is physically fine, but cannot return to work until RTA’s Safety and Security Department finishes its investigation.

In the meantime, the Dayton Police Department has still not finished its investigation.
