DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man was shot Friday morning during a brawl among a group of women.
Police said the 31-year-old is expected to survive, but the search for the person who shot him is far from over.
Police said it started with a fight between a man and a woman at a club in Harrison Township.
Somehow that fight spilled over to the United Dairy Farmers at 1943 E. Siebenthaler Ave. in Dayton and turned into a full blown melee involving a group of women.
Officers said the victim saw a woman on the ground, and picked her up to get her to safety.
Soon after, someone fired four shots. Police said one of those bullets hit the man in the calf; another bullet grazed him in the thigh.
Sgt. Clarence West with the Dayton Police Department said officers got a call from an employee at Grandview Hospital around 3:30 a.m. when the victim showed up there.
Police do not have a description of the shooter. They are asking anyone with information to come forward.
