Bikers receive blessing to stay safe on the roads

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Thousands of bikers revved up their engines Sunday for Motorcycle Safety Awareness month.

The 14th Annual Blessing of the Bikes was held Sunday at UD’s Welcome Stadium to bless motorcyclists in hopes that it will bring them safety as they take to the roads.

Festivities kicked off at 10 a.m. and featured live music, food, door prizes, and raffles.

Admission was $3 for single riders and $5 for couples. All proceeds will go to AMBUCS/GREENBUCS and A Special Wish Foundation. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
