Burglary suspect says crimes fueled a drug habit

BRADFORD, Ohio (WDTN) – Miami County deputies believe they have a serial burglar off the streets.

Deputies arrested Steven Boltin, 43, over the weekend.

Two residents called police on Boltin when they say they saw him go inside their home.

Deputies arrested him at the house and took him to jail.

They say Boltin is accused in five home burglaries and up to 25 car break-ins around the Bradford area.

Boltin admitted to deputies that his crimes helped fuel a heroin addiction.

Boltin is charged with burglary and receiving stolen property. More charges are pending.

He is being held in the Miami County Jail.
