Vectren Dayton Air Show tickets go on sale

Tickets to the Vectren Dayton Air Show went on sale Monday, May 19.

This year’s show, scheduled June 28 and 29 at Dayton International Airport, will be headlined by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, along with flying acts that include the Marine Corps’ AV-8B Harrier “Jump Jet” and the Air Force Academy’s Wings of Blue parachute team. Sean D. Tucker and Patty Wagstaff, two National Aviation Hall of Fame enshrinees, as well as the North American AeroShell Aerobatic Team, the F-86 Sabre and the Shockwave jet truck.

The latest addition to the show-a is static display of rare historic aircraft, including two different versions of the classic Douglas DC-3. The rare, World War II-era B-24 bomber Diamond Lil also will be on display, and Dayton’s own 1911 Wright “B” Flyer lookalike will fly each day.

Ticket prices remain unchanged from 2013. The popular Chairman’s Club, Pavilion, Family 4 Pack, and Blue Sky Chalet are now on sale, offering a range of seating amenities. General admission tickets are on sale at more than 100 Kroger stores in the Dayton-Cincinnati region for $3 off the gate price.
