Diamond’s death investigated as homicide

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Authorities are investigating the death of a 36-year-old St. Louis man as a homicide.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s officials said Adam Bishop fell outside Diamond’s Cabaret around 5:30 a.m. on May 11.

Bishop was taken to Kettering Medical Center where he died on May 15.

“At this point in time, detectives have collected evidence and made contact with the coroner. We are waiting on the official coroner’s report and ruling of death before proceeding any further,” said Sgt. M.D. Hutchison.

Officials at the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office told 2 NEWS that Bishop’s death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head and was the result of an assault. An official autopsy report, including toxicology results, will not be completed for six to eight weeks.

Sgt. Hutchison would not elaborate on the assault. He said everyone involved, including employees and witnesses, have been cooperative and no one has been charged at this time.
