Kettering board addresses school officials leave

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – The Kettering Board of Education held a news conference today to provide additional information regarding Superintendent Dr. Jim Schoenlein and Treasurer Mr. Steve Clark. The two administrators were recently put on paid administrative leave for unspecified reasons.

2 NEWS learned that both men have been issued a letter of pre-disciplinary hearing notice which state the board is considering action against them, including termination of contract.

The letters accuse Schoenlein and Clark of unprofessional behavior and of not working cooperatively with the the board. It suggests Schoenlein may have directed staff members to conduct levy campaigning on work time.Image (1) Kettering.jpg for post 21720

The board will meet with both men on Wednesday, May 28 at  9 a.m. where they will be given the opportunity to respond to the contents of the letters.
