UD tourney crowd control tab tops $50K

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The cost of crowd control at the University of Dayton following the Flyers NCAA tournament run has been tabulated.

Dayton area taxpayers shelled out $57,000 in overtime costs for police officers back in March.

Officers from 13 jurisdictions helped clear the streets near the University after the Flyers won their first three games.

In the three days of celebrations, a total of 350 officers patrolled the campus.
