TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) – Roads are underway, highways are closed down and houses are under water.
Many homeowners find them in similar circumstances to drivers on the road. They are under water.
Homes in Tipp City were waterlogged by the torrential storms that blew through Wednesday night.
Basements are flooded, homes are without power, but one woman says she is lucky.
“It’s part of life you can’t control. Earlier this evening, when I talked to police, they couldn’t even get to a house on fire. So, that family could lose everything. We’re covered. We still have our house. We still have our family.”
Dayton Power and Light reports the largest outages in Miami County. Surprisingly, only 500 – 1,000 people lost power during the storm.
