Teen sentenced as an adult to 11 years

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) –  A teen involved in a police shooing and convicted in April of felonious assault was sentenced Wednesday.

Lance Dyer was 17 in 2013 when he lead police on a car chase that resulted in a shooting.

Police said when he got out of a stolen vehicle, he was holding a gun. He was ordered to drop the weapon and he refused.

Officers fired their weapons, hitting Dyer in the hand.

Dyer was sentenced as an adult to 11 years in prison.
