Formal charges in fatal OVI crash

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – A man is now charged in a Huber Heights crash that killed an Ohio athlete.

Amanda Looman, 21, played soccer for Franciscan University in Steubenville. She was fatally injured in a head-on collision in October 2013.

Harinder Matharu is accused of driving drunk on State Route 235 when his car went left of center and struck Looman’s vehicle. She died several days later from her injuries.

Matharu was indicted Thursday on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide.
