Residents rescued from flooded apartment complex

BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – Firefighters and Clark County deputies rescued residents from a flooded apartment complex early Thursday morning.

Authorities said they arrived at the Laynecrest Manor Apartments on Gerlaugh Drive around 2:30 a.m.

They told 2 NEWS a resident called saying they couldn’t open the door to their unit.

Crews said the water is more than three feet high and they started rescuing residents. More than 40 residents were evacuated, and are not to return until further notice.
