Sinkhole shuts down a stretch of SR 202

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – A large sink hole discovered on SR 202 in Huber Heights after Wednesday night’s rains subsided is causing traffic problems.

huber sink holeThe hole is north of Carriage Trails Parkway near the Bethel Township line.

ODOT engineer Josh Bowman told 2 News the heavy rainfall caused a pipe underneath the road to sink, then the road itself collapsed.

Bowman said it will take about two weeks to repair.

Until then, a short stretch of SR 202 will be closed.
