Deputies: Masked man steals family pet

LOGAN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – An investigation is underway in Logan County, after a woman arrives home to find someone inside.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the house on County Road 146, outside of Middleburg, Friday morning. They told 2 NEWS a woman had arrived to find a full sized, white work van parked in the driveway. She went inside and was confronted by a man wearing a mask. After a brief struggle, officials said the suspect grabbed the family’s teacup Chihuahua and drove away. Other items were also taken from the residence.

Officials said the woman suffered visible injuries and is being treated at an area hospital.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6’4″ tall, weighing 250-300 lbs. He had brown, scruffy, facial hair and visible arm tattoos. He was wearing white pants, a dark colored t-shirt and a dark colored mask.
