Checkpoint nets 7 OVI arrests

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — Seven people were arrested for OVI at a sobriety checkpoint in Kettering.

The checkpoint was held in the 2700 block of Wilmington Pike from 11 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday. There were also additional officers assigned to saturation patrols around the checkpoint site.

The checkpoint and saturation patrols resulted in seven OVI arrests, 12 driving under suspension and/or no licenses. There were 41 other traffic citations issued for various offenses. It also yielded seven misdemeanor drug arrests.
