Man jumped in gas station parking lot

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officers are investigating after a man was jumped in a gas station parking lot.

According to the victim, he was at the Clark Gas Station at 1655 North Gettysburg Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Saturday to get gas in his mother’s 2009 Chevy Equinox.

He said he saw a friend in the front lot of the store. When he went to talk with him, he said he was jumped from behind by two men.

The victim told police they hit him several times before taking his cell phone and the keys to the Equinox. The two suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Police searched the area for the suspects, but didn’t find anyone.

At around 3:45 a.m. officers found the Equinox and returned it to the victim’s mother.

Police are still investigating.
