DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man was taken to the hospital after he said his wife tried to run him over with their van.

Officers were dispatched to Toby’s Tavern at 3601 Linden Avenue just after midnight Saturday on reports of a pedestrian accident.

The victim told police his wife ran into him with their green Plymouth Voyager as he was coming out of the bar.

He said when she plowed into him, he grabbed onto the hood and the windshield wipers. He said she continued to drive until they were in front of Elsa’s where she stopped the vehicle suddenly and he slipped off the hood. He said she drove forward as he was crawling to the sidewalk and ran over his foot with the vehicle.

He told police she drove off and he made his way back to Toby’s where he waited for police and medics to arrive.

The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. He is expected to be okay.

A lockup broadcast was made for the victim’s wife.
