Motorcyclist injured after getting hit by flying debris

RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Monday night after getting hit by flying debris from another accident.

It happened around 7 p.m. at Woodman and Tall Oaks drives.

Officers said a truck crashed into the Riverside entrance sign and a piece of the debris then struck a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Police and witnesses said the man on the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.

Police have cited the driver of the truck for failure to control. Other charges are possible as police continue to investigate.
