NEW CARLISLE, Ohio (WDTN) – A robbery suspect was arrested after leaving a key piece of evidence behind.

Deputies say a New Carlisle resident caught a man trying to steal his car radio.  They struggled, but the suspect got away, leaving behind a screwdriver deputies think he used to commit the crime.

The screwdriver was sent to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation for DNA testing.  It identified the suspect as Matthew Wright, 30, of New Carlisle.  The victim also identified him in a police line-up.

Wright is in the Clark County Jail charged with robbery.
