BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (WDTN) – Deputies say a Logan County father is responsible for injuries that sent his 2-month-old daughter to the hospital.

Steven Cummins, 20, of Huntsville, is charged with felonious assault and child endangering.

The sheriff says his office was contacted by Nationwide Children’s Hospital Tuesday about a baby being treated there for what they called “suspicious injuries”.

Deputies interviewed her parents Wednesday, arresting Cummins in the process.

He is being held in the Logan County Jail.

The baby remains hospitalized.
