Church’s Chicken fire investigated as arson

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officials believe a fire at a Dayton restaurant could be the work of an arsonist.

The fire sparked at the Church’s Chicken in the 2400 block of Gettysburg Avenue Friday around 1:30 a.m.

The Dayton Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly put out the flames.

An arson investigator was called to the restaurant. Police believe someone entered the restaurant through the drive-thru window and then broke into a safe and stole and undetermined amount of cash.
