Fire breaks out in house being rehabbed

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Officials are working to determine the cause of a fire that sparked in a Dayton house.

Firefighters arrived to a home in the 200 block of Morton Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a small fire on the first floor of the house and smoke in the attic.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the smoke. Crews had to vent the attic.

Officials said the house was being rehabbed.
