DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman is in jail after police say she’s suspected of setting a car on fire.

Tiffany Warner, 24, was arrested on charges of arson.

Officials arrived in the 400 block of South Smithville Road after 5:40 a.m. Sunday to find a 1999 gray Honda swallowed by flames.

Police were called a couple days earlier to the same area where witnesses reported seeing Warner pouring gas on the car. When officers spoke with the owner of the car, she told them Warner had been threatening her sister.

Officers were able to catch up with Warner at her parents’ home where they found her hiding under a bed in the basement. They also found an empty gas can on the porch.

Warner was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
