$2 million bond for man accused of killing roommate

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Bond was set at $2 million cash Monday morning for an Englewood man accused of killing his roommate.

Police said John Cochran, 30, stabbed 52-year-old Mark Gershon to death with a small sword Wednesday night inside a house in the 5500 block of Savina Avenue. Cochran and Gershon were roommates.

It is the city’s first homicide in seven years.
